● Design
AI earns trust at the interface.
Trust is not a disclaimer or confidence score. It is the user’s ability to understand, verify, correct, and control what the system does.
People do not calibrate trust from model architecture. They infer it from behavior: what the product promises, when it hesitates, whether evidence is available, how corrections work, and who remains in control. Interface decisions become system-governance decisions.

Citations are useful only when users can inspect the relevant evidence quickly. Highlight the passage, freshness, and source authority. Do not add a decorative list of links that forces the user to reconstruct the answer.

Design correction as a first-class path
Users should be able to edit inputs, constrain the next attempt, correct the output, undo an action, or hand it to a person without starting over. Corrections should improve both the immediate task and the team’s understanding of system behavior.
